1974 MSA Rosewood S-10 —// SOLD //—

Post by Jason Lee »

Up for sale is my 1974 MSA Rosewood S-10. It has 4 knee levers, 3 pedals—plays and sounds great. Set up with E9 tuning. The age of this guitar has been confirmed by Reece Anderson himself. I'm parting with this beauty to save up for a 335. Make me an offer.

$1150 + shipping from Chicago

PM me if you have questions.

Thanks, Paul. It's a little tough to let this one go.

PS: I spent my high school years in LBV and they were very musically formative years for me. Nice to hear from someone from that neck of the woods!

Edward, I know we've covered this via PM already but I thought others might have the same question. This guitar is set up with the Jimmy Day (a.k.a. West Coast) copedent. Details can be found here: http://b0b.com/wp/?page_id=725

Day set-up... Nope...

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

Jayson: Looking at the photos of the under side, tells me that it is not the Day set-up. Unless you've changed it since the photos were taken. Being the Emmons set-up, (which it is)should help it sell faster. I play the Day set-up myself, but very few of us do. Over the years, I have changed probably 8 or 9 steels over from Emmons to Day for my own playing, so I know what to look for, and how to determine which set-up is on a steel guitar just by looking at the pull rods. Thanks, Tommy......

Tommy, thank you for pointing out that this is actually set up with the Emmons copedent. The guitar was set up with the Day copedent when I bought it and an experienced steel player friend switched it to Emmons for me. I had that series of events backwards in my head but after double checking, it is indeed set up with the Emmons copedent.

Day percentage

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

Chris: Yes, you're right. But, oddly enough, there are about 8 other players around here and I'm the only one who plays the Day set-up. Makes me wonder what the percentage is. I also know that a whole lot of the pros play the Day set-up. Thanks, Tommy......
