Hi,

Sorry for the shameless self promotion, but last time I played a gig, a fellow steel player suggested that I should post here if I was playing out again. I'll be playing in Victor Krummenacher's band. Victor's music is Americana. I'll be playing pedal and lap steel. We'll be playing 2 sets at Armando's in Martinez, CA, starting at 8PM.

Hi Bruce,
Sorry I missed your gig.
I look at the Forums PS events in Caifornia, but not often due to the
lack of events in CA...... :) I've been at the Pedal Steel
for about 3 years or so. Live near Armando's.
Please let me know if you are playing close by.

Thanks,

Jeff

PS rookie :?

Bruce sent me the nicest letter (on my birthday no less) after I sent him one saying how much of a fan I am. If you haven't heard Heirlooms of August's 'Down at the Five Star', do you yourself a favor and go listen. Bruce was the engineer, producer, and steel player on the record. I hope I can make it up to the Bay area to see him play someday!

Thanks Bruce! I was out of town for this one, but for those of you in the area, I saw Bruce with Victor Krummenacher in January at the Starry Plough. Great band, kind of dark and smokey, hard to put in a box, but really great music. Highly recommended if you get a chance to see them.

And if you're not familiar with Bruce's playing, do a youtube search. He is a monster player with a different approach than most. Here's a really cool one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFeiDEuNUrg

Bruce,I still enjoy your "Slider" album,& have "Hyped" it to the best of my ability to everyone. It's an outstanding album. I was surprised to see that you were using a Dekley. I got mine in 1978 & am still using it to this day. The only thing I ever replaced on it was 3 nylon tuners on the right end.

I need to check for events more often, missed this one. Please let us know when you are playing out again Bruce! I've got your name keyed in to all of my pandora stations.
