Oahu Tonemaster - tone pot replacement help
Posted: 28 Feb 2015 5:52 pm
Played the Oahu Tonemaster I'm selling one more time before packing it up and I'm so glad I did: The tone pot no longer changes the tone. When I took a look at it, the pot was pretty corroded, and the nut that fastens it in place was slightly rusty.
My questions: Can the pot be repaired? Can it be replaced without altering the (vintage) tone of the instrument? If it needs to be replaced, what kind of pot do I need and what sort of cap?
I read the recent thread on the Tonemaster volume pot; is the tone pot the same?
Thank you for your help.
