Gentlemen,
Can anyone tell me if the Legrande 2 is better or not as good as the 3 and your thoughts on both. I've heard both good and not so good from the local steel players and I would like more imput on this.
Thanks in advance
J.C.

Unless Ron Jr has changed something recently, the ONLY difference between the two is the "counterforce mod" to eliminate so-called "cabinet drop". Otherwise they are identical.

Are the pedals stiff and does the cabinet stay in tune about the same?

John, both are great guitars, and the LeGrande III will feel almost the same as the LeGrande II if properly adjusted.

What Duane said.If you buy used theirs a good chance the counterforce will be out of adjustment. But thats no big deal once you understand how to adjust it.Sadly some folks just don't get it and give up.

I have a 2000 Legrande 111 and can't say enough good things about it.As far as pedal pressure there are some things that can be done to alleviate some of that.I find no cabinet drop on my guitar. I use a TU-12 Boss tuner and it doesn't register 1 cent.If you talk to some of the truly knowledgible folks in Nashville about this they will tell you it is a great axe and is definately a little better than a 11. What do you think Buddy plays ?
