Joe's Tune redux

Post by Rob Anderlik »

This is the first tune I ever came up with on my Weissenborn guitar. My Dad's name was Joe and when my wife and I had our 2nd child - a boy - I was so proud to name him after my dad. I posted the original version on YouTube but my arrangement has changed a little bit over the years so I thought I'd re-record this. Hope you guys like it!

Hey Rob checked out your Merle tune on YouTube "Honky-Tonk"night time man.
What is that bass guitar?

Always loved "Joe,s" tune.
Thanks Michael.

Michael, it's an Earthwood Bass, just like the one Freebo used to play with Bonnie Raitt back in the 70's.

Hey Rob, good rendition! It remember me some sounds of Bill Frisell.

I thought Freebo played a fretless Precision. Looked on utube for anything unusual in the Haggard shows, but I did find some cool dobro in this one, a good show.

I don't know, I think Merle and Dylan are a lot alike,
except that Merle can sing. Better.
