I know there is another post that has a similar title but this question is not related.
Years ago ( before Lonestar made it big). Approx 25/ 30 years ago. They were in Ottawa Ont. Canada as a touring bar band.
I worked with a group that opened for them. I met their steel player ( -at the time-) . A tall middle aged gentleman from the southern states who laughing stated that he was hired as the buss driver and secondly for steel work. I believe his first name was Doug. He owned a pool business that his son ran when he toured.
Anybody able to set me straight on who this fine gentleman is?
Wanting to reconnect.
Much obliged.

Brian, I think that would be Glen Childers. The last time I saw him was about 07. He was living in Dixon TN. Great guy and steel player. He helped me learn the number system and he had a great knowledge of pedal steel. I took his place in the band he was playing in when he left Memphis for Lonestar. Hope this helps. JM |
