I am looking to purchase a Carter Starter and would gladly buy someone lunch if they could meet me at the store to give me their opinion on this guitar. I have never played, but am looking forward to learning.

thanks!!

There have been MANY opinions voiced on this Forum regarding the 'Carter Starter', few have been of a positive nature. You may want to consider another option..JMHO.

From my experience, you can learn on a Carter Starter. They are very light weight, and the whole guitar tends to move sideways when you hit a knee lever. And, they can have issues so it would be a good idea to have an experienced player check it out for you. But if it is in good working condition, and what works for your budget, go for it and get started. I'd check it out for you if I were a little closer to you... Good luck!
