Just found this song on the Glen Campbell Box set I bought last year.

I'm amazed at the stuff Brian gave away to people back in the day. The Beach Boys passed on the song so Brian gave it to Glen as a thank you for filling in for him on the road after his first breakdown.

Wasn't a big hit, but should have been.

Hey Craig, I'm with you on this one, it should have been a hit... I've been a fan of Glen's since before he made it big and was still playing around SoCal. I hate to see him having to suffer with Alsheimer's Disease with all the wonderful talent he had/has.........JH in Va.

I agree. Good song, good performance. But did they really need quite that many performers on stage? LOL.

Jim, I think they were going for that 'Wall of Sound' thing.

Jerry, Did you ever get to play with Glen or Brian back in your days back in L.A.?

I always love to find cool tracks that are obscure, keeps me looking back for uncovered Jems. So many of them out there looking to be re-discovered.

Craig, no, I never got to play with any of them but I did get a couple of chances to talk to them as they traded in the same music store I did in the sixties (Hogan's Music in Hawthorne, Ca.)

Glen used to appear a lot on local television shows such as Cal's Corral, Star Route and others....JH in Va.

Jerry,You don't remember Glen coming in Bonnie Price Foothill Club sitting in with us,or maybe it was our late friend Jerry Cole that night. I'm almost sure it was you playing that night. Jerry, you've done more than you really remember out here with us in Country Music and you belong in that Academy Of Country Music Museum too! I've been blessed to gig with Glen At Gold Star recording Studios in Hollywood,California just like Al Bruno & so many others.WE are the History of Southern California Country Music right alone with Bill Mize.Cliff Crofford,Gene Davis,Jacker Tucker,Danny Michaels,Tony Booth,Merle Haggard,Buck Owens,Lawton Jiles,Sammy Masters,Lee Ross that they don't want the world to know because they can't make money of us anymore. Leo, you might be right but my memory's too foggy sometimes about the "old days". I remember when Tanya T. appeared at our benefit for the Signal Hill PD... It was during the time she was involved with him...I think Glen might have been there too but I don't remember.........JH in Va.

You got it Jerry. Your memory didn't leave you. Glen did about three songs and they left after that.My bass player friend Ray Castle was dating Glen's daughter at the time.Boy,how those days was great.I don't think I ever had a fight in that club! I sure didn't take no BS from anybody in those days, nor do I now.Am still the same old coon ass at 69 and holding my own. Thanks for all the gigs we did together over the years my brother in music. Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr. PS: I just wish I knew a few folks in this music business industry to help my career that dead. Laughing

great tune.
there's an instrumental version with just the Beach Boys background parts on their latest box set release, Made in California.

right before the song fades out, you can hear Brian say "Outta sight!" from the control room. they left it on the record.
