Do any of you have any interest in TABS for old standard western swing tunes, like:
Draggin' the Steel
B. Bowman Hop
Panhandle Waltz
Redskin Rag
etc..................??? |

What you got Ray? Do they come with that old 4 neck you have stashed over there?
I remember parts of a lot of them, but don't remember enough to play them all the way. |

Who plays B Bowman Hop and what key do you play it in? I have played it in both C and E on the C6th neck. I think I heard Buddy play it in E on the E9th neck one time. Just curious. What key and tuning was it originally recorded?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Billy Bowman recorded this tune in E6. I could be wrong though. I don't think it could be transposed to E-9. The notes just aren't there for duplication. Maybe it could be done on an extended E-9 tuning? It can be done in either C-6 or E-6 on a C-6 tuning with a few minor variations. |

Sure, Ray. I could come down from Seattle and pick them up. I'm due for an Oregon trip - family in Eugene and a cousin in McMinnville. Not too hard going down the eastern side of the Cascades and crossing over at either Sister or over Willamette Pass. _________________ Jack Aldrich
