Sho-Bud Super Pro - C6 Neck - Low C to A

Hello. I've been having some trouble with the tenth string on the C6 neck of my Sho-Bud Super Pro. It is the low C string, and I have it set up so the eight pedal lowers it to an A. It just doesn't stay in tune. I changed the strings a week or so ago. When I lower the string, it never comes back to C, and the string is not in tune anymore. I was just wondering if this was a change that is tricky to set up properly. Is it because it is such a thick string? Is this something where a helper string would matter, or do most people not even use one at all? I just don't know. I'm hoping someone has some more experience with this.

When's the last time it got a drop of oil?
Does it return sharp or flat?

If you can reach underneath and push the lower finger back to the stop, you might just need to screw in the return spring a turn or two.

this change is very common. most every c6 neck has it. so it should be fixable.

Stretch the string and keep retuning it until it holds pitch when you attempt to stretch and de tune it, than adjust the lower to pitch if necessary
