New Console

Post by John Speck »

Well its new to me but a 50s Rickenbacker D8 is not new. I traded my MSA S10 to Nash Reilly. Cant wait till it gets here. I had a Fender Duel 8 a few years ago. Been kicking myself for trading it off.

Here it is. It came today. I thawed it out cleaned it up, tuned it up and I've been at it all day long. I'm thrilled with this.

My first console I've had is identical to this although yours looks like it's in much better condition. Those horseshoe pickups have a wonderful tone. Now your post has inspired me to take mine out and fix it up so I can play mine. Have fun!

I am in the process of restoring a triple-neck version of this steel. Tell me. what the control knobs on the pickup end of the guitar are doing -- volume or tone controls? Thanks for your reply.
