I am curious to see who, and how,
someone put the most possible pedals and levers on a Bud.
Who's the record holder!
I'm going up to 8 levers when my parts get here, but it seems it will be fairly full under the hood with them in place.
But I am sure somebodys got more, and I would love to see pics... and the copedent too.
And why you decided to put what where. |

What? No one claims the "Sho-Bud Power Abuser Award".
I would have thought there was someone who got up near Cage or Crawford with an old Bud.
And I wonder how they did it mechanically. |

I have 8 pedals and 8 knee levers on my Pro-III. At one time I had an extra RKL that was the 9th knee lever. I would fold the regular RKL up and Lower the extra RKL for C-6th playing. When I refinished my guitar last year, I left the extra RKL off and returned the regular RKL back into a dual lever that would operate both necks. In my opinion, 8 knee levers is about the most the space will allow. I'm sure someone could put more on but my guitar weights enough as it is.

I have decided to put my D10 Super~Pro up for sale. I am the original owner of this 1981 guitar. Is is a working musician's steel (and still in use), with 10 pedals and 10 knee levers, plus some customized parts. The body and necks are made of curly birdseye maple, dyed green. The pickups are Lawrence L710's, that I bought and installed in January of 2002. Also included are the original case and Sho~Bud pedalbar mounted volume pedal, which has a brand new 500k pot.
Quiet in the studio; good action, well balanced pedals; well maintained; pot metal KL mounts replaced with solid aluminim mounts.

The copedant can be changed by the buyer, or I can set it up to your specs with a deposit, or at the time of purchase.
I am asking $1500 (or better) cash and carry from Flint, Michigan, or else add the shipping charges. I will also consider a trade for a D10, with humbuckers and as many pedals and knees (or almost as many), by Derby, Emmons, Franklin, Mullen, etc.

My old ShoBud single 12 came with 3 flr & 4 knees when I got it in '77. Within a few years I'd had it up to 7 knees (Crawford Cluster) and 8 on the floor. By the time I sold it around '91 or '92 it was down to 4 floor pedals and 5 knee levers as I realized all that stuff really isn't needed. I'm glad Bobbe Seymore's bringing up the fact that a person should learn to use what they have and not add a bunch of stuff which is mostly for show anyway. My guitar looked great with all those pedals and levers but really didn't make me play any better. I'm think I play better now with less.

I had 8 and 8 on my Super Pro, but since I wasn't using all of them, I took off the verticles. There are occasions when I wish I had them, but not enough to put them back.

I have no problem with an experienced player having 10 pedals and 10 knee levers, but I do think it can be counter-productive to someone who has only been playing a few years.
To wit: I would really feel stupid playing on the same stage as Lloyd (with my 10 pedals on E9th).  |

The guitar is actually for sale or trade, as described on my webpage.
I use all of the pedals and knee levers in the course of playing a typical gig. However, when I record in the studio I usually only play the E9 neck, which has 4 pedals and 8 knee levers operating on it.
