Hi to everyone!

I'll introduce myself, as I've been reading this forum for several years, yet for some reason just haven’t participated yet. :)

My name is Artur - I'm 23 years old and I live in Helsinki, Finland.

I have a band called "Artur U & the New City Limits", and we are releasing our 1st CD on February... Our first single was already released along with a music video a little over a month ago, feel free to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QEybfkWrpc

So, looking forward to meeting and chatting with all of you! For the past couple of years I've been travelling to NY every once in a while, so if anybody's located there, I'd love to hear. :)

All the best,
Artur U

Congratulations Artur -- A Star Is Born.

I Love the Video and the Music Style, and I am over 60.
That Left Hand Play GeorgeBoard looks and sounds awesome in your hands.
Makes me proud to no end.
Keep it going -- I look forward to more video releases. 8)

I remember bringing my acoustic Lap Steel to Finland in 1994 and playing it in a Jazz Club, it was well received for an unusual Jazz- Blues instrument there.

It is an old KAY Standard Guitar Modified with Banjo tuners to make it 8 strings and a raised nut.

Indeed.

I'm somewhat take aback at the sound; couldn't praise it enough. Keep the drummer. And the bass player.

Such clear steel work in a framework of solidity, reminds me of the feel of rock in the middle years; clarity and competence, and a vocal to carry it.

Welcome, Artur.
I would be presumptive and say look for Bob Hoffnar on the forum; he's in New York and might be interested in this sound maybe.

George, Charlie, Olli,

My apologies for the delay (+ bumping the thread)! Thank you so much for all the kind words. I’m really glad to receive such a warm welcome from the community. I’m putting a lot of energy and time into this group at the moment, so it really makes my day to hear your kind words. Thank you!

George: yes, it is a great steel and one for life. :)

Artur,

I enjoyed the video and playing. Sounds kind a like sacred steel meets rock. This reminds me also of Robert Randolph and the Family Band to some degree.

Please post some more when you can.

Welcome aboard!
