You guys should see my S10 Professional, if you think that one's rough. The finish is checked and flaking badly (the logo only says "Sho-" the "Bud" part is gone), yellowed and there's a cigarette burn on the rear apron. But it sounds GREAT... I played it on a gig in Charlotte just last night... and, man, what killer tone. Still using the original SB pickup, too.

I've got a newer Pro III that also sounds great, but the S10 is just so light and easy to move around... it's hard to beat for a gig guitar. I play 6-string, too... so I'm already lugging two heavy amp rigs- the thought of schlepping an additional 85 lb. steel isn't appealing.

I've thought about refinishing this little guitar, but it's got such a soulful vibe, I'm hesitant to mess with it. Maybe I'll just polish it up and touch it up with some of that Stew-Mac "vintage" pre-yellowed lacquer... or maybe I'll just leave it alone and play it!

I'll put up some photos if I can get my hands on them.

Here ya go.

I like it 'cause it's light, small footprint and it's 3&1 so I can get under it in a hurry. I double on steel and 6-string, and I have to MOVE between songs. 3&1 works just fine for almost everything I need to do. My 85-lb. Pro III w/ 8&5 stays home.

This was another eBay purchase.
It's "rough as a cob" cosmetically, but it plays and sounds like a dream, stays in tune... and I don't worry too much about dropping the bar on it. A real road warrior!
