I just spent two days with my new friend Billy Knowles @ Steel Guitar East and picked up my new 1972 Emmons PP. Billy is a true gentleman and great host. He is also a master craftsman and has restored a wonderful Emmons PP Rosewood flatback. It's loaded with 8X9 and plays and sounds amazing. Can't wait to get home and play it on my gigs this week.

You do look good sitting behind that. P/P's are the best in my book when set up correct and Billy is the guy that can do it.

Johnny Cox - a killer player. Among other tunes, I once heard him play "The Nearness of You." Just plain knocked me out.

Maverick is tuned to E13th. Mostly for western swing and Don Helms stuff.

Pat,
According to the records at Emmons, it is your old guitar, looks like a new one now.
Thanks
Billy

Pat, it is and I'm tickled to have it. Billy Knowles is the best. I've played four gigs with it so far and it's been flawless.

Wow! I bought that guitar new at Johnson Music in Columbia, SC in 72. That's the steel I moved to Nashville with in 76, traded it to ShoBud for a new guitar in 78. Always wondered where it went. Glad to know it's in good hands!
