Wolfgang and I finished a new set of supercompact 15" speakercabinets this week. After a few months of testing, adjusting, tuning, trying again and again, adjusting again and so on. We had a pair after a few months sounding OK, till we started covering them with highgloss mica. Then the sound died, and we almost freaked out. So we had do do a lot of inside work and experimenting with the speakerplacement, the board where it was screwed on, the material of it,dampingmaterial, ports, etc. and now we are satisfied.Talking about the influence of mica, this time not on the steelguitar, but on the speakercabinet. I couldn't believe my ears!!!! We finally built a pair of closed cabinets,18 x 18 x 11" that sound soo good, we couldn't believe it.Tight bottom, Brilliant highs, balance in the mid. Talking about hearing string separation and tone!!!!They match the steel perfectly, they are covered with hi-gloss mica and polished alu-lining.They weight 17 kg each, including speaker. As soon as I have pictures available, I will put them on the forum. Also in building speakerenclosures, Wolfgang is a crack!!
