In an earlier post, I was looking to replace the case for my MCI D-10. I found an MCI factory case, but the width is bigger by what appears to be 3/4". I checked my case and found it to match the size of my guitar, with very little play.
Is it possible that they would produce guitars with different width bodies? Or is my measuring just completely incompetent? Maybe it's a metric system thing. Or a Dewey Decimal thing. Or maybe Donald Duck...okay, I'll stop.
Anyone have any clue?
[This message was edited by Lawrence Lupkin on 30 May 2003 at 08:14 PM.]

I have late 80,s MCI SD-10 It,s full double body just has full pad with back single neck. steel measures exactly 33 inches long end plate to end plate. 10 7/16 inches wide. original case measures inside length 33 5/16 long. 10 9/16 inches wide. definitely little tighter in width than in length. hopes this helps. Thanks, James.
It appears that our MCI body width dimensions are similar (within 1/8"). I'm just wondering if there are others that are structurally different. I had a show tonight, and if it weren't for the cargo straps that I rigged, my case would have disintegrated. Any other MCI folks out there?
