Allman Bros. Blue Sky-Country Rock

Here's a version of Dickey Betts's Blue Sky I ran across from a trio gig I did a while back. Unfortunately the recording's a little quiet. You might need headphones to hear the bass player if listening on a computer.

David, that was awesome. Loved the tone and the solo you played. very guitar like quality to the tone which is weird because i always thought they were trying to mimic a pedal steel on the record so there you go mimcking a guitar mimicking a steel.

This is a great rendition with the fluid steelin' in the middle.
Emulation is the best revenge, whether Dickie did it or not.

I love the song and your rendition of it, Dave. Good job. But the poll kind of sucks. I hate the stereotype of rock musicians as wife-beating coke fiends, even when it's true.
I like The Allman Brothers' music. Their lifestyle, not so much.
