I bought a Cougar steel from Freeman back in July '01 when he introduced the Model 1039 (?). I thought it would be good to learn on, and I bought it because it had similar features as the big names. Now that I'm ready to play out I wondered if anyone that's familiar with the brand thinks it will be good enough to withstand the rigors of nightclub use. Thanks guys!

Brandon,

I have a Cougar 1095, and it seems plenty robust to me. I don't play mine out, but would not hesitate to do so. Take her out and have some fun.

Thanks guys. It seems I asked him if it would be stout enough to play out, and I think he said yes. A few salepeople I talked to said I needed to upgrade, but I didn't want to if I didn't have to. Y'all answered my question. And thanks for the correction on the model number Mr. Peters; it was bothering me that I couldn't remember it. My rememory ain't too good Smile. Thanks again! The Forum is the best!
