given the various discussions of pricing of the milleniums vs. other guitars... especially with the economy in a somewhat nebulous state... i was wondering if we could get an update on how the new msa is doing, how many guitars have been sold, etc.?
thanks,

Smike or Bruce, I don't know your full name, but I think I was in on maybe the second run of the new Millenniums. I took delivery right after the Dallas Show, and my horn is serial numbered 0009, but I asked for a delivery delay from MSA on purpose for personal reasons. While I was there I took some photos of the "neck and cabinet racks" that shows 14 necks, and 9 new cabinets ready for assembly, which I will email you if you like...
Now I don't know what the process or procedures are, but I wouldn't think they would have had the cabinets made without orders, simply because of the color choice. Perhaps so or perhaps not.
I do know that I like the axe very much, it's very comfortable to play and easily adjustable, has good tone (especially with the Wallace TruTone pickup), and stays in tune better than any other instrument I own--which is too darn many.
I think Danny Naccarato, who I understand took part in the reconciliation process, has posted here on the Forum so maybe he can add something to what I've said. All I know.

I think they (like every other pedal-steel company) can easily sell every one they make. I know of no company, past or present, that ever built up an inventory they had trouble selling. As far as actual numbers, that might be considered "guarded information"...for MSA, or any other company, for that matter.
[This message was edited by Donny Hinson on 05 May 2003 at 08:36 AM.]
