Before the Bolt-On Push Pull there was the Glue On Push Push (over the cliff).

What we have here is an old student model Emmons that somebody don't know how to put together and have took the knee lever off and through it on the ground.
You can tell when somebody don't know what they've got.

This is indeed a rare bird, only heard of one before. It is a "Clagwell" push/tug, left handed steel with an Emmons namesplate, that only has one pedal that raises the 9th string "D" to an "H", which is why it has 3 pedal rods going to one pedal.

| You can tell by the eagle inlay on the apron that it's a wartime Push Pull. The aluminum normally used to make end plates,necks & pedal racks was diverted to military use. |

It's truly amazing... the junk that people will bid on, isn't it? The "bid history" on that one is interesting, too. I didn't see that many "sunglasses" when I was in Florida!  |

This is a "Not quite Emmons", "Emmons Starter", or possibly a "Emmons Maverick".
Seriously this student model steel is a very good beginner steel made with the professional Emmons push-pull parts, just on a very in expensive body. Very easy to add knees. You might say it's the best of both worlds. (and you might not)
