Don't you think that this deserves its own separate listing, as opposed to being buried within another post?

It is certainly my opinion that it absolutely deserves a separate, special listing.

I just finished listening to the whole video and I must say that Jeff put on a tremendous performance and program. I wish that I could have heard it in person but I have been in the process of moving and could not go.

However, thank you for bringing this great performance to us who could not make the HSGA convention. Mahalo nui.

Fantastic playing and singing from Jeff. His beautiful tone and feel for this music is some of the best I've heard from a modern player.

Thanks for sharing Norman - I was just about to do so myself. A nice clean live recording. Click play and let it run. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face and lower your blood pressure 20 points. Absolutely brilliant!

As the guy who mixed the audio for the convention, I just have to say, when the source material is that good, it makes my job real easy.

I had such a good time at HSGA. I'm still buzzing from the experience. And working on my set list to play next year.

I noticed that Jeff seems to take much care of his relative volume to the rest of the group.

And a "palm" blocker! (Rim shot here).

Fantastic player.

This ranks right up there with my favorite recorded Hawaiian music performances. Jeff's whole easy going, polished stage presence and performance is wonderful, as are the vocals. Of course, the tone is to die for. I hear a lot of Billy Hew Len, Benny Rogers, and Pua Almeida...and a whole lot of Jeff!

Wish I could say it was inspiring, but it makes me want to give up!

I think that is the best passage in the "violin effect" that I have heard, bar none! :P

Thank you Paul for YOUR contribution to this super video. The source material may indeed be totally wonderful, and it is, but I have had the experience of sound guys totally screwing up a good thing. You sir, certainly did not do that on this occasion. Congratulations for contributing to great experience for us all.

Thanks, Norman. The praise is appreciated. Let's do it again next year!
