Anapeg

Post by David Langdon »

I know this subject has come up before, but has anyone got any pictures of Anapeg keyless steels that they can post. Being a builder myself, I am interested in these "Rolls Royce" of steels. The links in the old posts seem to be out of date. The mechanism intrigues me most of all, and the references to their immaculate finish.

I am fortunate to have an Anapeg due for delivery around next August. It will have 11 strings. The 11th string will be a Guitar E while the other ten will be a universal tuning. Noel has a guitar he has built for himself that is absolutely stunning. The quality of design and construction far surpasses anything I have ever seen and above all they have playability and Tone, Tone, Tone to the bone. I love the tone of my p/ps, but the Anapeg is right there tonewise. I think even BS would be happy to play one of these "homemade" guitars....IP

It is indeed the finest crafted PSG I have ever seen. My deep admiration and congratulations to Noel Anstead for his incredible workmanship and dedication to old world craftsmanship,

I have examined/torn apart/rebuilt, etc. almost every kind of steel guitar produced and absolutely agree that the Anapeg is the best crafted steel guitar ever made.
