A year and a half ago my house burned to the ground the only saving grace for me was my family got out alive and safe. I didn't lose my Emmons guitar and my amp which I had set up in a recording studio at the time I got the news my house was on fire. What I didn't recover was something that meant a lot to me and I never have been able to replace it since. It's a VHS tape I recorded of Austin City Limits of Ray Price and The Cherokee Cowboys from the year 1980 and of course the reason I loved that tape so much was Buddy Emmons was prominently featured on an instrumental of I Love You Because on the C6 neck and it's the best version of that song BAR NONE I've ever heard. So if anyone on the forum ever recorded that particular show and could make me a VHS copy and send it to me I will gladly pay you for it, with my most sincere appreciation.
Thanks
Graham Bland

I believe my copy is the one you're referring to. Unless someone gets to you first, I could do that for you.

Ray
That is so nice of you!!!
I had failed to say in the original post that I had contacted Austin City Limits to see if they could sell me a copy of that show and they told me they don't do that kinda thing anymore.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this.
I will email you my address and just tell me how much I owe you.
Thanks Again
Sincerely,
Graham
[This message was edited by Graham Bland on 15 April 2003 at 05:58 AM.]

Graham....here's a deal for you. Sunday, June 1st there is a local show, "A Day of Music" put on by the Shriners and hosted by a great muscian Jerry Braswell. Being from N'ville, you may remember him. It will feature a lot of the local steel players as well as Herby Wallace. The Saturday night before that I'll be at the Holonville Opry House. Why don't you and your family come down for a visit and take in the fun at these two places? You're more than welcome to stay with us. How 'bout it, Bubba?

Graham, I vividly remember sitting in your parent's den in Richmond watching this with you in 1980. Great shots of Buddy, Blondie, and the Hubbards on fiddles. A fond memory for sure! I wouldn't mind having that on tape either!

Tommy,
Very good memory, I was thinking of you when I posted this, remember when I conned you into showing me what Buddy had done on "Don't You Ever Get Tired of Hurting Me"what he had played on that show was so tasteful...it just knocked me out.
Next time you come to town with Jim,
please let me buy you dinner.
It would be an honor!!!
btw...you my friend are a first string steel player in any town including this one!!!
