Sadly, I don't have any video of Curly Chalker. I wish I did.

Just to acknowledge the band: Jimmy Queen, guitar - Kim Hendricks, drums - Bill Lombardo (dec'd), bass - Mark Vacarro, fiddle
These are all St Louis area musicians who, at various times thru the years, have worked with each other and with Wally.

WOW!!!! Ya know, there's steel players who are very good, but you might think---if I practice for a hundred years or so, I might be able to play sorta like him! Not this guy!!
I know if I had a hundred lifetimes, to practice, I would never be able to come close!

My "Beatles Moment" was not the Beatles - I thought they were kinda poofy, really - but Glen Campbell playing this on an Ovation 12-string on Johnny Carson. I was 8, like, "Well, I need a guitar now."

Thank you for those names Russ.
I was unsure, so I did not list them.
I will post them in the info portion of the video.

Bill,
Heard about it for years, finally seeing it.. thanks, big fun!
Meet Wally back in the late 70's when he was with Asleep At The Wheel. He was very self effacing, and one tall dude!

Stellar production, Bill. What Henry just said...
Can't wait to see more of Wally and other almost-forgotten goodies from your archives.
And thank Wally for all of us!
