I for one will miss you. What a thrill for me to sit beside you and play a club meeting before you made this decision. You made a huge influence on making me wanting to be a steel player and for that I am thankful. Best wishes and I hope to see you again soon. |

It was a pleasure meeting you at Scotty's and seeing you play there. I wish you all the best.
My favorite Jr. Knight story...
I'll always remember the story you shared on The Forum many years ago, about the neighbor boy who asked if some day you when you had time could show him something on the guitar. You said, how about right now? Got out of your truck, released the tailgate, sat down with that boy and (made his day) answered his questions with guitar in hand. _________________ HagFan

Yup that's Junior. And that little boy grew up to be Chet Atkins... _________________ www.JimCohen.com

junior, you are well respected and i'm sure a force to be reckoned with. but it always seems odd when someone makes a blanket announcement saying 'i'm done now!', rather than just not doing things if you don't feel like it. to me , no one would make that statement unless they were looking for a response from the crowd. well, this is my response.
edited to add: personally, i could care less about steel shows, but i hope you at least keep pickin' the steel as long as you want to. i'm dealing with not picking at the moment due to hearing problems, and it sucks.
still looking for a remedy.
