Not sure if he uses steel on tour, but Gary Carter plays on his TV show-if he uses steel, it might be Gary Carter

Unless it is a package tour with his wife Connie, he will most likely not be carrying a steel player. The player that is featured on the TV show (Gary Carter)is actually part of Connie Smith's backing group, 'The Sundowners'. As far as I know, Marty has not had a steel guitar in his group since Gary Hogue passed on.

No steel player Crying or Very sad But, indeed, a heckuva show. Marty gets most of the steel licks on Clarence's b-bender.
