Looks like John Michael Montgomery will be playing about 20 minutes from me. Any steel currently on his tour? |

Don, a buddy of mine plays bass for him. I texted him so I'll let you know what I find out.

In the mid '90s, Monte Good played steel for John Michael Montgomery. He played a left handed Derby. |

Thanks Tony. I can't remember the last time I went to see a major name (or former major name) at a regular concert but this one is at a campground at reasonable price so I thought MAYBE.....
Oh well, worth a try - thanks for your effort! |

Brett, I'm having enough challenge learning steel playing right handed. If I was watching a leftie and trying to translate, I'm not sure what my brain would do! |

I couldn't handle playing left handed steel since I've got cerebral palsy in my left hand-I'm right handed so my left hand holds the bar. I couldn't imagine hearing John Michael Montgomery's songs like "Cover You In Kisses" without steel-Paul Franklin played on the record. |
