Fiddle Rosin residue is perfect.
Although I've never tried it, I've heard ther's a guitar product called "Gorilla Snot" that does the job.
I use National 1941 fingerpicks and never needed anything. Maybe my fingers don't sweat like yours.
[This message was edited by Joey Ace on 23 March 2003 at 08:24 AM.]

Coolest thing I've found is Dunlop picks with black powdercoat on the part that fits around the finger. The powdercoat makes the picks stay on better -- I'm not sure why -- they look slicker but do stay on sweaty fingers better. They are also much more comfortable.
They are made by the 'Rajah': Ken Brattain in Texas. Go to

I believe I bought mine from Scotty's Music. Couldn't figure out how to order tham off Ken's website. It's kinda confusing.
If I were you I'd either give Ken or Scotty a call and try them out -- they work great for me -- I won't use anything else. FWIW.
