Not often enough do we thank one another. Not often enough do we encourage each other. I want to say a big hearty "THANKS" to all of you who make the Steel Guitar Forum possible. I don't really know of any of you personally but I know bOb and his team do an extraordinary job. Honestly, for other instruments, I don't think there is anything quite like this. Some of that is because of YOU! Yes, YOU! Those of you who read and respond to all of these threads. YOU make it successful and what it is. Also, THANK YOU to all of those participants who keep coming up with great Topics. WOW! This is such a great part of my life to be able to be inspired, uplifted, and encouraged. Sure, there are some folks here once in awhile that get a little ugly but I've noticed they don't last long.
Anyway, the point here is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I love the Steel Guitar Forum and I love YOU!!! (Bobbe Seymour taught me how to say that LOL)
Stay tuned,
Zane

Yes, a big thank you for all your hard work b0b and every one in "the nest" who's participation is invaluable for reference, to answer questions and provide knowledge about the instrument that we love.

Zane, I couldn't have said it better. After getting back into playing pedal steel after not playing or having one for about 30 years, this forum and the people that participate in the discussions and threads, are a God send. It's made learning about the instrument and learning how to play it much easier than if this forum did not exist. A big THANKS to all!

Great post and great thread, Zane. This really does need to be said. What an amazing resource.

So true. Being able to have a dialogue directly with the greats and many of today's current players right here is second to none.

No, there isn't. I've tried out forums (fora?) for other instruments and there's no forum out there like this one. I put it down to the fact that steel players are easy to get along with. I've never met one yet who is not friendly, hospitable and intelligent.
Thanks, Bobby Lee, for all your hard work. Long may you continue.

HAHA! WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP! yOU MUST BE A REAL TOOL! LOLZ
(provided for the snake of comaprison & cntratzt)
I suspect I wouldn't even play steel guitar if it wasn't for here. The first time I tried one in the 1980s, the strings were out of order! What a stupid instrument! Even though I could arpeggiate jazz chords with the tip of a slide through a delay n' stuff by them, slide guitar was driving me crazy by then (for the first time) with what it
wouldn't do.... play a proper CHROD, already. Now I don't like chrods anymore (again) but I still play steel guitar. It's so red!
In all of known history I have found only two other web sites where you can actually go offer a real, semi-thought-out, opinionated, opinion but withOUT (therefore) being a REAL TOOL or HATERZ MUTZ HATE or some such. It takes a semi-diligence on b0b's part - even noble
I have run afoul,
once or four times, but it's largely self-policing. Or maybe everyone who really hatz Robert Randolph just finally died! HAHAHA! WHAT A TOO... It has become almost a shock to me to go elsewhere and offer up what I think is a pretty reasonable concept like "HEY, TOOL - ARE
YOU GONNA PAY TO RAZE ADRIAN PETERSNEZ' CHILDREN, THEN?" and find out that
I am (consequently) a chlid molezter!

Chris,
Have I no idea what David is talking about there. I don't mean that disrespectful at all. I seriously just don't understand what he is saying.
