Does anyone know what size tone bar Billy Robinson uses on his 10 string Derby?

It looks like a Tribo-Tone, but I don't know the size. I have a Tribo-Tone bar, but it's the Jerry Byrd size, which is MUCH smaller than the one Billy's using in this pic.

Also, any clue where I could get one?

That's a Zirconium (IV) oxide (zirconia ceramic) bar ...

Ed Packard "re-introduced" them a couple of years ago ... They might have some left

Try this in the event of failure.

May I suggest an option you might like to try if you can't find a fat Zirk bar. In the recent past I made a large, custom-diameter tone bar (1.25 in. in diameter) which is not listed on my web's product page ( www.stoneslides.com/products ). It can be available in 4 standard lengths and longer custom cut lengths if requested. The stock length tone bars are only $25, the special length bars are $10 more.

Many players stay away from larger diameter bars due to their almost prohibitive weight. But Paloma tone bars are made from a special ceramic body that while light in weight, performs quite well... delivering excellent sustain, tone, and durability.

The "Big Kahuna" tone bar is 1.25 inches in diameter, 3.5 inches in length, and weighs in at just 5.2 ounces! Available in Cobalt Blue or Clear/White glaze finishes.
