Easy music holder for sight impaired folks

As most of you folks know, I'm a legally blind bod all my life. At 77 my eyesight is worse with cataracts and I have to get items closer to me than ever. I enlarge the TAB music and use magnifiers but I have to get the paper closer than ever to my face. Here's what I use in case it's of interest to others:

It consists simply of a mic stand with a goodeneck fastened to the top part of a music stand with two
hose clamps. The gooseneck should be one used with a microphone so it doesn't sag. This allows me to get the music right in front of my nose but allowing me space above the guitar.

Hi George. Thanks for sharing your music stand design. I too have visual problems, and reading tab is difficult for me while practicing. I am sure this setup can help me and a lot of others who struggle with getting Tab close enough to see while playing. Thanks. :)

Thanks Larry. Yes, I meant it only for playing or practicing at home. I play all my "out" music from my head.

Nice work, George. I think lots of players will benefit from this idea. That's a beautiful console, too.

Good idea, George. A simple and elegant solution.

By the way, if you don't want to take apart a music stand to make this, or if the top half of your music stand doesn't have a peg leg like the one you show in your picture, you can buy just the top half of a music stand. They sell them for table top use.

Thanks so much Kekoa, I did NOT know the desk stand existed. Nifty.
