I have a fessy d-10 w/ 8-7 and need to move the left knee left lever (it has 2 klk, its the one closest to the front) out to the front of the guitar a inch or so. How do I do this? I would imagine by looking at it that the allen screw is on
the bottom of the lever which loosens it
up to move it. By design, I cannot get to it so i guess the whole cross rod has to come out or rotate to allow this. Both knees are on the same cross rod but divided. It seems to be a little more complicated some other guitars.Could anyone that knows about these guitars help me out?
thanks ,trap

I just did the same thing on my new D-12 recently. Since yours is on a split shaft it should be easier than mine. The shaft has to come out, so mark the shaft where you want the knee lever to be, remove the pull rods and pullers if necessary from that shaft, and remove the block that holds the ends of the two shafts.
With the shaft out, drill a clearance hole in the shaft the same size as the other one in the spot you have marked. I turned the shaft 90 degrees so the first hole wouldn't show. Mount the knee lever and put everything back in the guitar.
Now remove the stop bracket, mark the wood where the screw holes will go, drill 1/8" holes for the screws 3/8" deep, and screw in the bracket. That's it!
