How old is your Fessie?

When ordering a new pickup for my Fessenden SD-10, I was amazed to find out that my narrow mount pups were not the norm. Sure enough, upon further investigation, most I have seen recently do in fact have wide mount pups.
Also, my fretboard is marked with diamonds instead of longhorns.

Anybody else got a Fessie like this?

That looks like an older one to me. I received Fessy +/- #23 (according to Jerry) in 1992 or 1993 and it had longhorn fretboards.

Herb,

I emailed Jerry after I got this steel (used) and he asked if it had a serial # on it. to this day I have never been able to find one. He did say from the appearance of it (if memory serves me right) that it was possible early 90's.
Perhaps I need to snail mail some detailed pics and he could possibly give me a better idea.

Anyone else out there have one like it?

I think mine's a little later than yours, but mine does have a SN on a sticker -- ESD 129. It has a three color fretboard with longhorns and cast end plates and neck. When did Jerry start using the milled parts? BTW, this guitar now sports a TrueTone pickup and sounds and plays great. I've really been enjoying playing it through the '95 'Custom' Vibrasonic Amp.
