You'll defintely want to check with Greg Jones in Kentucky. He's "Mr. ZB" and has lots of information and maybe able to help you out or at least point you in the right direction. He's often on the Forum, too.

Greg, how are you set up to ship worldwide? (:

I'm actually curious about the springs, too - are they hardware store specials or do I need to go for a stroll in the ZB graveyard?

Also, Peter, do I already have the serial number of your ZB for the ZB database I'm putting together? Please let me know and thanks!

I did e-mail you a while back,to say thank you for your helpful reply.(Regarding my first post,about putting my ZB back together again.)I have since set up all the pedal rods,more or less correct,can tweak them a bit,if need to.The serial number of my ZB is 399S.For the history of it,see my other post.I'm half way putting a picture site up, don't know when will have time to finish it.If you send me an e-mail address,I will post a picture of my ZB and the shell munition box I've made into a case.I took the pictures for someone else,before I joined the forum.Thats why my punch bag,sparring/bag gloves and weight training equipment are in the shot too.Doing some building work in house bit of a mess to set steel up and photo again.
Yeah,I went to a supplier of bolts,springs and stuff.He only had a few springs,I got one quite similar.This morning my brother helped me sort,of put it on.Is a bit make do,but functions.I would prefer to have the exact same spring to match the rest.Were some big suppliers in the phone book,stock 3 million springs.So I e-mailed photos of the spring and dimensions.Asking if they could help,another supplier too,no replies.I'm reluctant to send them the spring.As they couldn't be bothered to reply,don't want to lose that spring,then two missing.The turn buckle that goes on the rods is not straightforward,as has threads in different directions.Seems I could get a machine shop to tap a thread into both ends of a cylindrical length of steel,but only one direction.Havn't thought that through,don't know if will work.Did a search on Greg Jones,couldn't find him.Have you his e-mail?

Peter, the turnbuckles are right and left hand threaded. I heard somewhere that the part that fits into the changer finger is actually a spoke off a motorbike wheel!
You can make a rod that connects from the finger to the 'tree' on the cross rod. Make it slightly longer than required, then put a couple of kinks in it once its on, to get it to the required length.

Peter, thanks for the e-mail. Your turnbuckles will go out this week. I will do some digging around here and if I have some extra changer springs, I will send them too!!! We will get that ZB back in business!!!
