Problem with MSA

In trying to lower the G# to an F#, the lowering post will move about half the distance that it should, then the raising post starts coming with it, preventing the string to lower on to an F#. There are no peices of string or ball ends any where that would bind it and you can easily push the raising post back and it will stay. Has anyone got any ideas?

Basically, you need to use a plain 20 or 22 string to do this on the 6th string.

If you are using a plain string, you then need to loosen (or stretch) the lowering spring and then you should be able to do that.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call Bud Carter or me at 972-288-9100.

Hope that helps!

Thanks John. Worked like a dream. It never entered my mind to back the spring off.
