as long as I have been on this forum, I have NEVER seen a thread run for a "Month"...the Emmons E-mail thread, (justified or not,) was much too long...we all know the problems the Lashley's have had to endure..and have overcome...was this necessary??/ it's pretty obvious this guy from the Midlands has a problem alright, not just with his guitar.....chill-out ...enough...tom

Long before personal computers and the internet, Johnny Cash warned us...

Bad news travels like wildfire...good news travels slow."

The manufacturers today have to learn that the internet can "make 'ya or break 'ya". It is, indeed, a force to be reckoned with!

There are no more secrets.

Consider the source, just like the rest of your life's input.

If my memory serves me right, the last 'thread' to run as long as that was also 'Emmons'-related - that was the 'Where's Billy Jenkins' guitar?' topic.

I feel that, in both cases, the 'threads' were sustained by the very fact of Ron's lack of participation - then, as now, he just got on with his work while 'feathers flew' over here on the Forum. He answered his critics pretty effectively back then by supplying Mr Jenkins with a guitar that, in all probability, Ron didn't see any money for.

There was, in my opinion, an unfortunate lack of contrition from those that had judged Ron harshly on this Forum, even though he dealt with that matter in an honourable manner.

I don't know Basil, but I have to say that it reads rather as though there are other issues between him and the Emmons Co (or, maybe, the previous Company?) beyond those expressed here. I could very well be wrong, but that's the impression I get.

I do agree that a company should maintain an internet presence properly, or not at all (we all know of another prominent maufacturer who chooses not to run a web-site), but it's a small matter in my view, and, for me, it doesn't reflect on the quality of their product.

For the record, I've always had the best of service from Ron and Rebecca (and Jim and Joanne before that), and I'm certainly no 'big-shot' player that they need to impress - just a regular working musician.

I think that Ron choosing to ignore what goes on the Forum shows a certain dignity....

Hi Lads,
There were no other issues or a "Hidden Agenda".... I was just venting my frustration at the problems I encountered.
It WAS with the "old" establishment ... I have now been contacted by the current proprietors and It looks like the problems I've experienced will now be resolved.
b0b was very right to lock-up the thread.. I was NOT going to capitulate to pressure.

This thread should also be allowed to fade away.... I think it's best to let the thing heal.. rather than keep "Pickin" at it .
ROTFLMAO
