I was looking through some old threads about replacing the Emmons toggle switch and I was wondering if the one at the following link uses the same wiring schematic as the original:

John,
That one will work but you'll need to modify the way the terminals are wired up. Here is an Emmons Schematic with a sketch I made that shows the way you'll need to hook up the wires and cap so it will work properly.

Just replaced the one in my LeGrand. First I bought an exact replacement from Stewart MacDonald. Take a close up picture or two to show exact way of hooking up each wire and dressing the leads. Drawing is good but check several times to make sure it is correct before soldering.
(The old finally became intermittent at the wrong time,)
Thanx,
Jim |
