OK I sold all my RV3 pedals a few years back, now I wish I had something like that again. Anyone know of a good all in one reverb/delay combo pedal? Looking for one stomp box to do both for pickup gigs. Thanks in advance! |

I like Benado's PF Steel Dream. I borrowed one from a good friend. Hope he forgets he loaned it to me. Understand they're a little pricey. As they say. You're mileage may vary. |

Behringer builds an RV-3 clone, cost around $60.00 new and available from American Musical Supply...Second vote for the 'Earthquaker Dispatchmaster', nice sounding unit, built well and very compact...The 'Steel Dream' is an incredible unit but as mentioned, carries a hefty pricetag...I seem to remember a post mentioning another reverb/delay pedal that was preferred over the Earthquaker but do not recall the name. |

This one does the job too, and ordering one is easy. Vlad's a good guy.

I replaced my RV-3 with a line 6 cho Park.
This is a delay pedal.....but with the Echo & a
quick slapback it sounds like a delay with reverb.
It also has digital & analog delay also. This pedal has a lot of options. |

Hall of Fame reverb and a Boss DD-3 is a hard combination to beat (IMO) I have used every combination of reverb and delay pedals and the above has worked out the best for me. I suggest you don't cheap out and go for quality and you will have it forever. There is a reason that the DD-3 has been around for a long time. The TC
Flash Back delay is a great delay also if you want true bypass and with the HOF and
Flashback you have the option of the tone print download.
If you go for the HOF, the plate setting is my favorite. |

I've got to agree with Len here. Unles you need to be compact, those separate pedals are nice. Unlike most, i like the HoF better (slightly) than the Wet reverb. _________________ To write with a broken pencil is pointless. |

After I got my Wet Reverb pedal, I sold my RV 3. I used # 7 on the RV 3 with just a touch of delay, not much. Although it is supposed to be just a reverb pedal, the Wet Reverb has just a slight amount of delay, just the way I like it. The Wet Reverb sounds wonderful to my ears and it even seems to improve the quality of the sound overall.
I had one of the RV 3 clones also, Behringer DR 400 and liked it just fine. I got it from B & H Photo in NYC for about $40.00, including shipping, but this was probably a year ago, at least. The AC adapter was $10.00 extra.
To add to your "I don't know which way to go" decision to be made, based on my experience with the RV 3, the DR 400, and the Wet Reverb, the Wet Reverb wins hands down.
Paul Franklin was using the Bernado unit a couple of weeks ago when I was at the Time Jumpers show. He had high praises for it, but it is a VERY PRICY, boutique product. |

I've got a DR400 Behringer Delay/Reverb that I'd part with for $25 plus a little for shipping if you wanna go cheap _________________ '02 Carter S-12 uni

That Wet pedal sounds like it would be good on steel. Nice. _________________ ShoBud The Pro 1

|
|
Let me add a couple of things about my Wet Reverb. After I go the Wet Reverb, I could not stand the sound of the reverb in the RV-3, so I sold it. I wondered what the Wet Reverb would sound like with a delay pedal, so I bought a DD-3. Turned out, I didn't need it. The Wet Reverb has just a tiny bit of delay and my sound went south when I added the DD 3. So, I sold it.
I had a Lexicon MPX-1 with the Hughey and Sasser programs. To my ears, it never sounded as good as the Wet Reverb. I got the mono model of the Wet Reverb because I only play through one amp. I love that it has only two knobs to adjust. I set the depth on 2 O'clock and the mix between 12 and 1 O'clock (no amp reverb). This works for me. Also, I use the amp effects loop simply to keep the signal going to the amp as pure as possible. It definately sounds better in the effects loop of my Valve King 112 vs. going from the guitar.
I have not tried the other units that people recommend and I am sure that they do the job for them and I might like them better than the Wet Reverb. But
based strickly on my experience, my advice is get the Wet Reverb and be done with it. |

If you like the RV3, I would just get another RV3.
They are pretty easy to find... On this Forums Buy & Sell, Ebay (saw one for $61 Bucks recently), Guitar Center Used Gear page (they send it to you and you can return it to your local GC if you don't like it), Craigslist, etc...
I have two of them and use them all the time for live gigging.
I keep it at hands reach for easy song to song adjustments... it really is a great pedal for Pedal Steel. |
