Anyone remember Elmer Snodgrass?

I remember hearing his name on the radio in Douglas Georgia. I think he was a C&W singer, fiddle player, radio DJ, and did some wrestling promotions.He worked in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Hey Wayne, out in SoCal years ago on the old Town Hall Party show there was a cast member named "Quincy Snodgrass"... I wonder if they were related at all?....JH in Va.

I don't believe they were related. It appears they both liked the name for it's comedy appeal. It wasn't their real last name.

Elmer Snodgrass (Louis Johnson Smith) was my grandfather. He was a disc jockey, civic promoter and member of the Musical Pioneers. Originally from Alabama, he died in 1970 and is buried in Greenville, SC.
