Does anyone know if Lyle Lovett has a steel player on tour with him? He ia booked to play in my hometown over Labor day and is reportedly bringing about 20 players, singers, etc.
Best wishes, Walter

Boy, does he ever! It's Buck Reid. RUN, do not walk, to that concert, and you'll hear one of the very best players on the circuit today.

In fact, I learned after the fact, Buck Reid was steeling for Lyle and Russ Kunkle was on drums when he played here last summer and
spent the next day on my self inflicting butt kicking machine!

Walter... please be sure to come up after the show and say hello, look forward to meeting you!

Jim... thanks pal... hope you're doing great!

Dave... Mickey is correct in that I used to be to the left of the drummer but this year I've been moved to the right of the drummer. Hope to see you there and say hello!

Moved to the right of the drummer? That's a promotion, isn't it?

Nah, they probably just figured that they're about done ruining Buck's right ear, so it's time to start working on the left ear... Wink

Hi Roger... I'm not sure if it's a promotion because of what Jim Cohen just said. Smile

Hello Buck. Thank you so much for the after show invite. It would be great to say hello in person and I look forward to it if the Good Lords willing and the creek don't rise.
Tickets go on sale in Wilmington this Friday at 10 AM and I am sure you guys will sell out quickly. Expect a great crowd and a ton of Lyle Lovett fans in a nice venue.
Best wishes, Walter

Yes folks, Buck has a good singer by the name of Lyle Lovett playing in his band. Winking

I will be seeing him tomorrow nite at Jay Peak in northern Vermont! Psyched. Tightest band on earth! Camping out under the stars afterward. And in Vermont, we have tomorrow off as it is a state holiday commemorating Bennington Battle Day. And the weather is clearing to sunshine. Can you tell how pumped I am? Could it get any better? Happy belated birthday Buck and catch you tomorrow.

Well as Mickey promised, the show last nite in Vermont was just the best. Buck was his handsome self in his black suit and tie to match his band mates. Played his new "Black" Infinity thru a Peavey 112. Sounded great. Here is a pic I took with my iPhone camera that I shot thru my binocular lens. Couldn't believe it worked as well as it did.

Thank you Buck. Love you man.

Hey Buck,

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night in Red Bank.

Can you bring along a few CD's of yours so we could purchase them from you after the show or will you have them up at Lyle's Merch Stand?

Thanks, Craig
