A friend of mine interrupted dinner last night to rave about the Orange Micro Terror.
Cuz Garver's Session 500 went south on him, and he plugged this little tube head into the 500's 15, miked the speaker and he reported good tone, but the mic did need to be hot, with only 20 watts.
With only one tone knob, he still got good tone.

That doesn't surprise me. It's not actually a tube amp, though. It has a tube in the preamp and a solid state power amp. I wouldn't mind hearing it with steel. I have a buddy that uses an Orange Tiny Terror (all tube) with his cigar box guitar and lap steel. It sounds great.

You're right. Tube preamp, Class D power. Sorry. He interrupted my dinner. So he got less than full attention.

Oh well guys... We lost him. A steel player that enjoys eating more than talking shop. Let's all bow our heads in a moment of silence. Crying or Very sad
