I REALLY hate to hear this . I loved Jack's playing and he complimented any bands that I've seen him with . The last time we were together was at the Siloam Springs show in 2013 {?} when we did Deep Water on Mike McGee's set . Wow what a player , I will miss him !!

I can't tell you how sad this makes me. Jack and I were best friends since 1963. Best guitar player I ever worked with. Period.

Thanks, Jackie. Jack and I met when he was living in California. He moved back to Texas in the 70's and we didn't see each other until a couple of years ago when he visited California to do a gig with the Western Swing Society (of which he was a Hall of Fame member) near Sacramento. I'm glad I got to tell him I loved him before he passed.

Jackie, never will forget the early 1970's when I first met you and Jack in Denison Tx at B&N music. Soon this into turned into 4 or 5 hour jam that usually packed the store with listeners.

Not only Jack , but you also made a tremendous difference in my music life. I had never played with musicians of your caliber before.
I took early retirement he and I and began to play golf every day, after golf we made the rounds to all the pawn shops, then went to my house and played music until our wives got off work.
Needless to say he and I both were married to very loving and patient wives. He will be missed by all the musicians not only in North Texas but westward to California and Washington.

Funeral services will be at 2: PM Friday, Aug 8 at Hebron Baptist Church Where we recently buried our good friend Billy Dozier. Church is about 3 miles NE of little town of Bells Tx. There will be no grave side service afterward.
