Talked to Ron Junior on the phone tonight. He indicated the finishing touches are being put on it as he spoke to me.He told me that he should be able to start tuning it tomorrow and should be able to ship it next week.He says it looks real good.

It is black,8 pedals and 6 knees, chrome fretboards, chrome nameplate backplate with the counterforce on the e9th neck.It will be a sweet guitar.

Richard, you will be glad you spent the extra money for the counterforce. It is fantastic. I hope you got the compensators on the strings that raise AND lower. Your gonna be a happy camper.

Oh yes forgot to add that I got 6 compensators added to the guitar. This was an extra $120 dollars but I needed it.As far as the chrome fret boards,I wanted to get it as close to a show piece as I could get.The only thing I regret not being able to get,is the simulated mother of pearl ebony that Zum offers.I actually know a guy that went to Kmart or Wallmart and bought some automobile pinstripping and put it along the top of the front of the guitar and also the bottom. This looked good to me,but I wonder how much work was involved in getting the endplates unsnapped like that.
Another thing Ron told me is that the color of the black is the most unusual he has seen.He said I may think differently since it is in the eye of the beholder.
Hope it looks good.
[This message was edited by Richard Plummer on 01 February 2003 at 06:04 AM.]

That conversion with Ron Junior reminds me that I had almost the exact conversation with Jerry Anderson (Reece's Brother)some 20 years back. So far the guitar has not arrived and I am starting to think that perhaps something has gone wrong. Perhaps Reece will send me back my $1650.00.
