ijust heard we lost larry 8/ 2/14 do to a long battle with lung cancer.larry played and sang with waylon and moony for many years.he was a great singer as he was on many waylons records.he played many steel shows along with moony when he did the st. lois steel show r.i.p. my friend the picketts

Once again we loose a great friend and musician ,,,Larry always hung out with us at my booth and had some of the best stories . I got to play with him in Az yrs ago with Brad Millett ... So many memories . Jerry

Sad day. Larry was a good pal. Sad I'll miss ya, buddy. I believe the correct spelling of his name is Whitmore.

Larry was a long-time regular at ISGC in St Louis.
Mooney wasn't too keen on playing instrumentals and
Larry sang the songs that Moon liked to play on, and
so Larry was always there for him.
May God keep Larrys soul and
comfort his family and friends . . .

Our sincere sympathies to Larry's family. Each time we had Ralph Mooney at the OSGA (Okla) we could always count on Larry and Fred Jack's crew helping out with our show. Larry was always ready with a song and had a super personality that took their set up a level. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
