Lost my Tribotone bar - now what? Help!

Post by Gerald Ross »

I'm on the road now and lost my Tribotone 2.75" x .75" bar.

I have a substitute cheapo bar (non Tribotone), so I can keep playing. But it's not the same.

Are there any alternative bars available on the market now?

Thanks.

Gerald,

Are you on the road gigging? I could loan you mine for a while until you find a reasonable substitute. It is not in pristine shape but still a great bar and easy to play. My stainless bars are my current favorites and the Tribotone sits un-played. If you need it, just let me know where to ship.

Good luck,

I'm on the road in North Carolina teaching and performing at Swannanoa Gathering Guitar Week. Hopefully someone will find it. I'm here till Saturday morning. I'll contact you folks if it's still lost. Thanks.

you know, this reminds me of a story Mike Auldridge told once about why he didnt play with custom dobro bars - for this exact reason.

Gerald - i have one you can borrow also - drive up to the Galax Old Fiddlers Convention and jam all week with us.

I subscribe to the Lowell George philosophy: he used Craftsman sockets because you could buy them anywhere. Dunlop bars are fine with me if I don't a Burden bar handy.

Found it! A fellow musician from last night's session found it. It fell out of my unlatched case.

I'm glad you found it Gerald. If you ever need one let me know. My hand cramps with it so I am using a lighter ceramic bar.

Billy, bring that bar to the next Converse meeting and I'll pay whatever you think's fair. If you want to sell it, that is.
