Was just wondering about the input on the Boss RV-3 pedal. I looked up the specs and they just said "input". Does anybody know if this might be a balanced input, seeing it has a left and right out?

You'll feel two clicks when you plug in... this is just the ring/sleeve battery contact. Reverb pedals make a stereo output by reversing the phase of the reverb to the second output but keeping the phase of the main dry signal the same... this gives the 'space' to the sound.

Don't use a TRS or the pedal won't work! BTW, 'balanced' and 'stereo' are two different things... a balanced signal is balanced with respect to ground, but the signals are not stereo. You can run a stereo signal through a TRS cord, but both ends need to be expecting this, like a Gibson stereo guitar into a Gibson stereo amp.
