I have a Stewart 1/2 rack power Amp,,50 Watts,,per side.
It has a Bridge mode & I assume in bridged mode,,I can run,100 watts through one side or the other ??
I have never quite understood the bridged mode.
It has 3 output terminals, to the speaker (+ - +)
If I understand the instructions right,,I would jump the first terminal,,+,, to the other ,,+,, terminal, and use that for the ,,+ ,,wire to the speaker & use the middle ,,-,,for the , negative wire?? and then I could use the ,,bridged,,mode ??
Hope all this makes some sort of sence ? _________________ steelguitarguy.com |

This is what John Huey was using At St Louis convention. The 50 watt is for stereo and bridged is Mono. to run one cab instead of two. John was usind an Revelation preamp and a lexicon MPX 1 He had the 100 -200 bridged model in Evans cabs hope this helps Jerry |

Your speaker output is taken from the two red posts in Bridge mode.
All Bridge mode does is reverse one channel and link the inputs together... since the channels are now out of phase you get double the voltage if you connect across both 'hot' terminals. One channel takes over, usually the Left one... the Right channel input becomes disconnected.
The amp has to be rated for this, if there's not a Bridge switch don't try this with just any amp. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |

Richard,
The positive and negative on your speaker wires will go to both positives on the amp with the center negative left blank. This will give you the bridged mode for 100 watts once you engage the bridge button. There will be no left or right at this point. Just a single channel . I used these amps for years and they are great.

At one time, I went to the Stewart web site and found the information on how to connect the speaker wires to get the bridged mode. |
