I've been looking at getting one of these. Does anyone have experience in using them? If so, can you tell me the pros and cons of choosing the Always Buffered or True-Bypass options.
Apparently this is no longer a switchable option and has to be specified at order time. My inclination is to go for the bypass, but I'm not sure why  |

A drop in impedance before the cable to the amp is a GOOD thing, as cables will munch highs and reduce clarity.
Unless you already HAVE a buffer, I'd do as you have in mind.
Also, the reverb itself is probably buffered, so there'd be a difference in tone when you turn it off.

| Thanks, Lane. I use a L'il Izzy plugged straight into the guitar. Is that likely to make a difference to the best choice? |

Try plugging the Izzy into the output of the volume pedal. Same effect. And that's where I run mine when I play tube amps.
