Folks:
While at band camp.............
Jody Cameron is the man! If you are looking for lessons on steel, Jody Cameron is the man. Very Patient and knowledgeable on both necks.
Bobby Flores puts on a band camp and invites other artist to come in and teach.
If you haven't been to one of Bobby's camps, put it on your to-do list next year. Fabulous! _________________ Traveler, Peddler and Extreme life lover. Giving up is not an option. |

I took personal lessons from Jody once a week for almost 3 years...he is very talented as a teacher/mentor. Not too bad of a picker either! _________________ '74 Emmons D10 P/P 8x5,'15 Rittenberry D10 8x5, Peavey Nashville 112, 400 & 1000, Fender Twin Reverb Tone Master, Hilton, Goodrich L120, Boss DD-3 and RV-3 |

I just wish I COULD LEARN as good as he teaches. From beginner to Advanced Jody will get it done. I wanted to go this year but work schedule just would not make it happen. _________________ ShowPro SD10, Mullens RP, Bose S1 Pro, GK MB200, MB500, Bugera T50 Tube amp with SlidgeRig, TC HOF reverb effect. |

Thanks Charley! It was a great time at camp. We had a great group and made some great new friends. All the students at camp were wonderful and talented people. |

I concur.
Tommy Dodd got me spun up on being able to keep up while I was there. He too, is a great teacher and mentor.
Both you and Tommy have it covered. You west of the Mississippi and Tommy on the East Side.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this thread but it has been very humbling to say the least. I remember the first time I heard Jody on the main stage in Dallas several years back. He knocked me out. I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of him and was thinking he must be one of the best kept secrets in the whole stat of Texas.
Jody, thanks for the compliments. Right back at ya' my friend.
And, Charley, thanks for posting about your experiences here with me and in Texas with Jody & Bobby F.. You are certainly hanging with the right crowd for steel guitar osmosis. Now, sit down and practice, practice, practice!! |
